GM cares about you and your family and wants to encourage you to make your health a priority. LifeSteps is our wellness program that can help you reach your health goals to live a healthier life.
LifeSteps is free, voluntary and confidential. Maintaining confidentiality is a foundational principle of the LifeSteps program. No one in GM has access to your personal Health Assessment or biometric screening information. GM will never seek access to your personal health information or attempt to use such information with respect to any employment-related decisions or other decisions.
All hourly and salaried U.S. employees and dependents over 18 who are eligible for GM Health Care coverage. Only U.S. based employees are able to access the LifeSteps website. However, all employees are encouraged to participate in onsite activities.
You can update your health assessment on the Interactive Health member website at anytime. Please note the Health Assessment will not be available for up to 2 weeks after your screening. The health assessment is available under the Your Interactive Guides-Health assessment tab on the homepage.
Yes, the form needs to be submitted to WageWorks. It can be submitted electronically on www.wageworks.com. Detailed instructions can be found on the first page of the 2018 LifeSteps Wellness Incentive Physical Form, which can be downloaded from the Resources tab.
Completion of a Health Assessment is voluntary. However, keep in mind, LifeSteps provides a wide range of programs and resources that are designed to "Help You Help Yourself" in achieving and maintaining better health. The first step is to recognize your health as your most valuable asset, what areas you have under control, and which ones you need to work on. The LifeSteps Health Assessment is an important first step to understanding your current health status and health care risks.

If you have previously participated in onsite biometric screenings, your previous results will be located on the right hand side of the Dashboard home page under "My Screening Results". Click "View Results" and select the date of the lab results you'd like to view from the drop-down.
To insure the privacy of our member's personal information, we require that all email address changes be made by our members through our website. You can update your email address using the link to your account located in the upper right corner signified by your first name.

No, you are not able to enter your own biometric data. This information will be collected for you at your onsite health screening. The website offers a wide variety of activity trackers and device integration that can be accessed by visiting clicking "Action Plan" or by selecting "Manage Your Health and Fitness Trackers" on the Dashboard.
